i changed some udev rules, as result i have mounting and unmounting working very well :roll:

do not know what i am doing wring, but i still get the same error, station code is: evra

just made it more clear, so

in station file there is section about Latvia with station in Riga, this is where i live, but to get that station shown, i have to edit one ...

indeed, I reinstalled kernel (upgrade to 2.6.20-r7) so i rebuilt every modules, and also X11-libs and everything is working like a charm.

maybe it is driver issue, as i have 7.1.1 Xorg and same drivers as KrissN

and i cannot select anything in gnome, when i start beryl, also, new windows does not open when launch them, but you can run console, and write in it killall beryl to get back

[SOLVED] wpa intel 2200bg wpa_supplicant

all i neded to do was - restart :oops: :oops:

after reboot network came up without any problems

/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf was from example

/etc/conf.d/net
config_eth2=( "dhcp" )
modules=( "wpa_supplicant" )
wpa_supplicant_eth2="-Dwext -ieth2 -c/etc/wpa_supplicant.conf"

and everything is ...

hello!

i'v got a brolem - endless loops of connecting/disconnectiong from my wireless AP

when connected i can use network without problems, if i had problems i could not write this post.

but after some 20 - 30 sec laptop disconnects from AP and then starts to reconnect.. and this is all

i got away from gcc compile errors only with updating kernel from 2.6.13-r5 to 2.6.14-r5, before upgrade i allways had a problems with compiling - random errors here and there...

there was a topic where ppl was talinkg about problems with compiling (under heavy compiling/load computer fails ...

do not know about limewire, all other things works - if you read some manual.

you wil have to set up firefox-bin (32bit version) and flash and 32bit java anything else works nice on my PC :roll: wich ofcorse is amd64

thanks, no i got this idea clear.
Results: just as i suspected sse3 is not used if no additional falgs are used

since im at work and cannot turn on my gentoo box at home i could not get man gcc :( anc chek does it have or not

thx everyone for replies.

going to bring my PC a sse3 instructon set ...

but not all Athlon64 processors has these sse3 insructions, even not all sandiego cores has sse3
so, does realy -march=k8 has sse3 enabled?

so i have venice core with E3 revision, that means i do have sse3 command set iz there anything i can put in use those?

but cat /proc/cpuinfo says that i do not have that, so what can be dome about that?

i had diferent error and lockups (regitry dump etc.) while compiling certain packages like glibc, it said that im missing something or just SIGSERV 11 (or something like that)

so all i did was set my RAM from DRR400 to DDR266 compile and set back to DDR400 (my ram is defective Kingston. one module ...

Pleace pleace, do not compare results with glxgears it is eveil to compare :)
i get 75FPS on that :) and i got DVI ;) thats all :) so, there are no good reason te believe in it, better post ur UT ET or whatever game fps

i do not need Evolution, epiphany, mozilla

so how can i get rid of those in normal way?

by normal i thought - it is permanent and usable ;)

this was second try of love sources for me, first try was unsuccessful
after that i worked only on vanilla or gentoo-dev-sources
month ago emerged nitro, but never compiled ;)

these sources works for me "as is"

ofcourse i had to straighten my hands a bit by seting HID device timer :)

so, first kernel from 2.6.11 family
if i boots and works as expected - cool
if not - not so cool :D

till now i have all make errors mentioned here :)
hope ati-drivers will be fine

Edit:

so results after reboot
anything works, pluging/unplugging usb storage works NICE
ati compiles and loads and ...
