I would first emerge sync to make sure you have the most recent ebuild, and then if you are still having the same problem go to bugs.gentoo.org. Look to see if there is an existing bug for this issue, if there isn't then submitt a new bug.

I have successfully emerged both dnsmasq version 2.15 and 2 ...

you need to:

cp /etc/init.d/net.eth0 /etc/init.d/net.wlan0

then with wireless tools and nidiswrapper modules loaded with correct driver you should be able to bring up the interface.

any progress?

You probably have, but I wanted to make sure you tried the drivers from the ndiswrapper site.

Second, the output you get from ndiswrapper -l is exactly what I get, so that is correct. Let me know and I will try to help you with this since we have the same card.

Scott :) good name....

I am trying to come up with a way to filter spam for about 40+ email accounts on windows boxes at work. Would this be able to handle that many users. I am thinking about using a gentoo box to go into each account on the server maybe 2 or 3 times a day and delete spam for each account. It is an ...

filtering

I work as an IT assistant for about a 100 client windows network, and I am wanting to look at my options for filtering out virus and spam. The big thing is that currently our email is outsourced so it is not on our network nor do I have access to the email servers. I wanted to setup a gentoo box to ...

I have recently change this howto with instruction for ndiswrapper-0.6, take a look at those if you have not already.

That chipset is know to work and is the same one that I have. I use the driver that is on the ndiswrapper page.(the zip file for BCM 94306).

Does your card show up in dmesg when ...

A few things to try:

-In the new version of fluxbox I am pretty sure you have to reload config(goto settings>reload config) for any changes to the menu to take effect.

-Also check to make sure the menu has the correct command. I have had to change several commands recently namely mozilla-firebird ...

I have that exact card and I just got it working two days ago. I worked so hard to get it to work that I made a doc in the forums on how to set it up. Please check this out. I hope this helps. If you still have problems I would be glad to try to help you.

But, I would recomend you give it a try. The install documentation is really good and if you run into any trouble there are plenty ...
