How do I do this in Gentoo...Xscreensavers

In Mandrake I added the line:

xscreensaver &

...to the end of the /etc/X11/xdm/Xsession file.

But, that doesn't seem to be the right place here.

I don't like using the KDE Autostart directory if I don't have to because I want Xscreensaver to start no matter what Window Manager I choose to use.

That is wahy I did it that way in Mandrake...I sometimes use fluxbox.

add that same line in ~/.xinitrc

Thanks, I hadn't thought of that.

BTW, hows the weather down there right now? My cuzzins live in K-ville & Strawberry Plains. And I used to go to several schools down there, as I lived in K-ville, Claxton, and Powell in the 50-60s.

Thanks but I like having the splash come up; it gives me a chance to edit the config if I want to. And, it assures me that it is loaded.
