i want to export my gnome session to other computers. first i have to copy my own session
.gnome2/session to the other computers, but things i touched like applets or the positioning of the panels aren't stored in there aren't they?

where are they stored? in gconf? how can i export them?

on my laptop my gdm is getting weird.

is starts nearly complete, in order to produce a black screen for one or two seconds, and then it is a normal gdm loaded and ready.

what causes this behavior? and how can i solve it?

@lucida: it works with right keymapping? i tried it last sunday with great pain course of missing keymappings.

german layout with ALT GR wasn't possible and i got real problems with it.

is thatfixed or a workaround available?

i got the same problems after the update to xorg-x11 7.1
the at-sign ein cornerd ( ) doesn't work anymore. but äüö works fine.

i use this gnome-window-decorator with compiz and Xgl, and want to change the window borders and decoration thoo another theme.

just -v and that lead me to the same than without it.

i got my solution i hadn't set up the directfbrc correctly i just have done like the wiki but with my mode, and i fails course i couldn't be red by qingy.

i removed this file and it worked

i search for a login manager like gdm xdm or others which support:

multiple userlogins like on the Mac OS

and Variable X-servers, mostly i use the Xgl but sometimes i need standart X.

can anyone give me a good solution?

what i like is Lineage2 but i can't get it to run with linux dunno why..

Xgl is a great thing i foundout after many hours of work but finally it works . However i don't know why.

But i found some minor problems:
mplayer can't play DVD's correctly it stucks andstucks bit for bit -- not very funny
nexuiz isn't really playable without textures - doesn't matter ;)

In one of the Parts they Intruduced Xgl well-working.
