Hmm.. you can change it in KDE for sure:
One method would be to change the kmenu.png your icons folder << cant tell you where it is now cuz im on windows

The other which im not sure about is right clicking on it and going into the menu editor which lets you change it too i think

I dont think you can run grub in a diffrent resolution (im quite a nub)
but you can for sure change the BG image.. which is located in boot/grub i think its splash.xpm if im right (not sure about the filename and im in windoze right now)

unpack it and edit it or make a complete new image and save ...

Torsmo sounds and looks great i will emerge it when im on my Linux-boot again..
Im quite sure it uses less system-power then SuperKaramba with its monitioring themes

How to move from kde 3.3 to 3.4 ?

Hi people,
I have the problem that i want to move to the new kde 3.4 Release Canditate ..
How can i do that via portage (im not used to portage yet, cause im quite new)

Do i lose my settings, users if i do ?
How can i save those things if yes ?

My second question is how i generaly can choose ...

This looks realy nice (portage-sharp) i wonder if it works properly ?
The idea is nice though Kuroo seemms to have more options regarding the install
(use flags, etc.)

Has anybody tested Sharp yet ? //is it only for gnome ?
Would be intrested what comes out..

And what about Kuroo can you try older ...

Hi people,
I just asked myself what smart or rare applications you use for your desktop and everyday use.

A few eyecandy apps i for my desktop are:
Superkaramba avaible through www.KDE-look.org
and Smoothdock also search on www.KDE-look.org

They are both in portage ...

it doesnt seem to be in portage..
anybody tried the installation of Alteria out ? (im rather new to gentoo and doing hard with installations without using portage)
and its on fileplanet that sucks.. dont want to register

i found a solution:
i went to: home/"user"/ and deleted every .conf file "hidden" with font in their names..

started a new session and voi la the error is corrected smile

and then emerge the game data for adonthell called "wastesedge" this is necesarry to get a. working

Im a total Rpg fanatic (love the old rpgs like Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana,SOM2,asf..) and just some days ago succesfully and completly switched to Linux :) What games are avaiable/ported ? Which emulators exist ?

Last but not least : What are your favourite RPGs on Linux/Gentoo? :wink:

Edited the screen part of xorg.conf file to:

i got a athlon 1400, choose reiserfs for my root filesystem and wondering which are the best sources to choose from...
