Hmm how can I get hourly graph?

Hey there,

is anyone using Gentoo as a server, and is he happy with it? I am really tempted to wait for Debian "etch", since security updates and stability is a main factor. Or should I get Ubuntu Server?
So what are your experiences?

Here:

You are trying to use cn=Manager as container for everything and thats wrong. Manager is kinda ldap root user, not a container. Least I think...

Why do you want to do reliable mailserver with gentoo instead with debian, for example? Gentoo is constantly changing so it would be ideal for some dev-server where you need latest php example. But for mailserver?

Yes it can be done. Just plug the cable between dell and hp and enable something like ip forwarding or sharing (or whatever it's called) in the XP.

First set up virtual hosts, this might be usefull.

Then you need to decide if you want to let portage manage your phpBB installations. If you are going to do lot of customising, better to install manually. But if you use portage, theres vhost use flag.

I think setting the login shell to the nethack is better than executing from bash. No bash gets started so theres no way to circumvent anything.

But are you aware that nethack does have known security problem in gentoo?

So, is it possible to reduce size of ext3 in fly? Man page of resize2fs doesn't have big warning about it...

No idea. Sometimes it's possible to mesh up filesystem with some bad combination of raid, lvm and kernel. Maybe try different fs? I use xfs and it have never let me down.
