Hello all!
I've just setted up UFT8. My console terminals shows russian characters correclty, but it won't to input they (instead it shows question marks).

/etc/conf.d/keymaps
KEYMAP="ru"

Before switching to UTF8 it worked.

The second. X-applications shows warnings
(thunderbird-bin:6883): Gdk-WARNING **: locale not supported by Xlib

What can I do? (I made 'emerge --word --update -deep')?

What is your locale? I think it should be something like ru_RU.UTF-8.

Yes, that helped! There was a trouble because in rc.conf UNICODE="yes", the word "yes" had been written in capitals...
