yep my cpu frequency is rising at a compile and my fps are tested in single- and multiplayer modes

I just found out something really interessting:

im using an amd64 3000+ (64bit install) and a GeForce 6800GT.
"stat fps" showed me ~47fps - even in 800x600 and normal settings. this was a little bit low i thought ^^

i also have frequency scaling enabled in my kernel (2.6.12-rc2-nitro1) and let it ...

someone who can confirm that teamspeak runs with this version ?

test this :

- install ut via ebuild

- install ut (with the installer for your ut cd - not via the ebuild) as bin install (without the gamefiles ^^) to somewehe you can remember

- delete ut und ucc in /usr/local/bin (standartpath i think)

- cp *.u from the System directory of the bin installed ut ...

works wonderfull

theres just one bad thing for me: there is no sound on my centerspeakers - maybe someone knows how to solve this ?

hab eben mal .gnome .gnome2 im homedir gelöscht - der eintrag spiele heisst nun wieder spiele aber das prob das ich keine menüeinträge selber erstellen kann bleibt.

interessanterweise werden aber durch portage eingetragene starter nach einem gnome restart richtig ...

seitdem ich gnome 2.8.2 installiert hab ist das panel ein bisschen "seltsam" geworden :/

der eintrag Spiele hat nun kein eigenes icon mehr (nur noch das normale ordner icon) und wird als games angezeigt - laut den eigenschaften heisst er aber immernoch Spiele.

der eintrag office hat abundzu auch ...

someone knows how to turn on the anticipatory sheduler ?

append = "elevator=as" in my lilo.conf wont work :/

my config looks like yours but i havent enabled the nvidia sata support and configured my bios to boot up from scsi - and ive enabled "CONFIG_BLK_DEV_SD" (SCSI Disk Support) i dont know if its nessecary ^^)

k, its for unreal - but it looks like the same problem

im using an audigy 2 zs (at stereo headphones atm) and ive several problems with this.

- ut2k4 sonds nice but the sound is not loud enough (ive pulled it to the maximum :/)
- soundoutput with xmms (using the alsa plugin) is much more louder than before

since my radeon 9600xt is crap in linux i will try to get an Gainward FX PowerPack! Ultra/1100XT Golden Sample (by specs the best 5900xt ive found) and a fine 5.1 sound by creative
and all that just to play doom3 with nice fps on my linux box *g*

have you tried the cache clear thing with the 4.51 version ?

- had a soundproblem witch ut2k4 (im using alsa) -> it was constantly chopped into pieces
- firefox and other apps crashed while their were in use

switched back to the love-sources and everthing is fine ^ ^

system specs:

the problem with the 4.51 version maybe is caused by utpure (cheat protection) wich sometimes kicks you right after connecting to a server. this can be solved is you clear your cache ...
