It's not necessary to install the volman.
You can bind commands to keys through the xfce settings manager.
See how have I done it.

OP, use purge installation — I don't now remember how to do it with the portage because I use the paludis package manager.
And anybody tell us, why has the perl yet not died? It was ought to do it a long time ago! I'm angry. The Linux doesn't progress in the appropriate way. And it's sadly.

Because only bash-based terminals are able to give the .bashrc content?
Also, I think, you can put a command like "Terminal -x 'jcontrol'" to the your Openbox menu.

Yes, you are right but it's a bit other question. If Mr. Dake has downloaded the stage 3 then now he hasn't a choice.

But if seriously, did OP read the handbook?

You may to do it simply with "native" architecture. On example, watch on my make.conf:
CFLAGS="-O2 -march=native -pipe"
CXXFLAGS="-O2 -march=native -pipe"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
MAKEOPTS="-j2"
I have the Sempron 2600+ with one core. You can set "-j3" for the makeopts I think.

It works, thanks.

As much as I love having everything compiled on gentoo, Eclipse is just too easy and better to manually download and unzip rather than emerging it.
You will always get the latest and issue free release.
But the Eclipse has some dependencies. But ...

Okay, then I'm interested, which do you use overlays and which do you install packages for the eclipse? I would be happy to know the full path to the overlay and not just "seden" or "java-overlay". I found such at overlays.gentoo.org but I am not able to use it because earlier I never used any ...

I would like to create a new partition for gentoo (in dual boot with windows), but with Gparted I can't create a primary partition, I can do only a new logical partition.

It's because free space for the primary partition are already elapsed. If you want and can, you may recreate partition table ...
