Ok you useless forum users, I found the solution for the font problem myself. 8)

Edit the following files:

- Font Size: ~/.googleearth/Registry/google/googleearthplus/User/render/guifontsize

- Font Family: ~/.googleearth/Registry/google/googleearthplus/User/render/guifontfamily

i also get the warnings on my i915 chipset. don't know how criticial they are. btw, i have one question.. why were so few packages updated for xorg 7.0 -> 7.1 upgrade? i remember having to unmask a lot of packages to get modular X to install.

opera's technical preview releases generally don't make it into portage. I think we have to wait for beta1 to be able to emerge opera 9.

did having the script work for you with USE=-gnome for mozilla-firefox? It didn't work for me. I saved the file in /usr/bin/nautilus , changed the path to konqueror, and made the script executable ane even checked that it works from the command line. But it doesn't work from firefox's download ...

emerge -s yakuake basically searches for packages named yakuake. since you have already set PORTDIR_OVERLAY and placed the ebuild into it, emerge -s finds that and reports it.

Till i read this thread, i thought there wasn't an aspect of package management(atleast of those i could imagine) that portage couldn't handle. Is this bug fixed? I just remove kde-3.4* in favour of kde-7* so i can't test.
