GL works sometimes but strange errors

Hi, I've searched the Net for this error quite a bit, without seeing a real solution. Here's the debugging output from the suggestions I've seen while searching.

System: dual P3 w/PCI Matrix G400. xorg 6.8.2

So direct rendering seems (as far as I can tell) to be set up and working, but something obviously isn't quite right ...

Bump?

I didn't used to get these errors on the same box; can't remember exactly when they started. Maybe I should try xorg 7.0, but think I'll wait till it's at least ~x86 and not hard masked.

Biggest issue is that I'm trying to install Google Earth under WINE as per the instructions on gentoo-wiki, but it's giving me errors about 3D support.
