but in almost all threads they say it doesn't matter, or it's "harmless", etc...
well, my glxgears performance dropped from 1320 fps to 930 fps.
so, for me it's a bug.
i have intel 915GM chipset -- I use i810 DRI from xf86-video-i810, and i915 DRM module from x11-drm for 3D accel.
x11-base/xorg-server-1.0.2-r3 was working fine.
x11-base/xorg-server-1.0.2-r4 was insanely slow on my system, the X process was constantly hugging my cpu at around 65% usage, and the mouse cursor became jumpy,
but opengl performance was still as good as before (1320 fps).
so, i had no option but to upgrad to the masked x11-base/xorg-server-1.0.99.
the X now works fine, but i'm getting
Code: Select all
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visuali'm still happier with this configuration than x11-base/xorg-server-1.0.2-r4, but it'd be even nicer if someone knew what the significance of this warning message is,
or even point me at a debugging direction....
