I'm having some problems getting gnucash emerged on my system. I looked around the forums and tried recompiling gnome-libs, libgnomeui and guile but it still won't go. It complains about not being able to find qthreads but it looks like it has the wrong path.

I'm trying to in net-nds/gq to play with LDAP. When I emerge it, it compiles as you would expect it to but it only installs documentation, not runnable binaries

I had the same problem.

I followed the HOWTO at http://forums.gentoo.org/viewtopic.php?t=187389 but I still couldn't get it to appear.

I ended up downgrading to fluxbox-0.9.10-r2 and it fixed it. I'll probably submit a bug report tomorrow. Let me know if it fixes your problem too.

I was able to get Gaim to run in the slit. I think I compiled fluxbox with the gnome USE flag and that enabled fluxbox to take gnome system tray icons. Hope that helps.

I'm not sure about rounded corners. Its a feature in the .9 series but I haven't tried to use it. However Fluxbox's site has some kind of information on how to build a theme with rounded corners. Not sure if that helps or not.

Rox is a nice small GUI file manager thats pretty customizable ...

I was thinking of picking up a DVD/CD-RW combo drive for my laptop. Then I thought, well in order to get good cd burning support SCSI emulation would need to be enabled. I have a GeForce FX 5700 Ultra which was just supported by these new drivers. They are less than impressive to say the least. If you use the nvidia agp, X doesn't start. If you use AGPgart, X can start but glxgears gets 14fps max. Hope this gets sorted out soon.

I took off DMA

but I got the same problem with a different set of error messages (perhaps because I'm now running 2.6.0-test)

I'm able to open and play encrypted DVDs fine at first, but sometimes in the middle of watching the DVD, the read light just starts blinking at a constant rate and the movie freezes. I checked my /var/log/messages and it outputs this:

I too am having the same problem. I had issues getting OO1.0.3 working on my desktop just it just turned out being .sversionrc wasn't being updated properly.

This problem occurs on my laptop and is definetly not the same issue.

If I have some time tomorow maybe I'll file a bug report.

I wanted to get Mozilla 1.3 ASAP once it got into the portage tree so I set ACCEPT_KEYWORDS="~x86" and then emerged it. But now when I emere -up world, it wants to downgrade mozilla because ~x86 isn't set anymore. Is there a way to tell portage that I want it to leave mozilla alone? Thanks
