sun-jdk-1.4.1.02 breaks mozilla plugin?

My java plugin stopped work recently and the only thing I could think of that I changed was upgrading my sun-jdk from the portage tree.

I get that error when visiting a page with a Java plugin and the browser just crashes.
I've always used the j2sdk plugin and it worked fine until now. If I use the sun-jdk plugin, I get unresolved symbols.

Anyone seen this before or have any ideas? Thanks.
