Well, I didn't actually delete any of that stuff, just moved it to a backup folder in my home directory so no big deal.
Interestingly enough, this whole fiasco is the end result of me almost NEVER running emerge to update anything. So yeah, the next time I ran emerge -u portage it worked and now I ...
Just like the title says. When it got to the part at the end where it says its updating the portage cache, it seems to get anywhere from 80-95% done then i get:
!!! Cannot resolve a virtual package name to an ebuild. !!! This is a bug, please report it. (virtual/libintl-0)
So, I have a ton of music files on my windows partition.
When i go to add files to a playlist in xmms I can access these as root, but not as a normal user.
If I click the /windows folder as any other user it shows as empty when I open it.
I did something similar once. I was setting setting up to use the windows bootloader to boot gentoo and instead of copying my boot sector to my fat partition that I created with the intent of using it as a tranfser point for files I wanted to access in both os's I accidentaly copied it to my ...

Not sure I get what you mean. Care to explain further?
I was going to give another old card I have a try, its an Intel 8/16 Lan Adapter... yes ISA. Anyone have any idea what driver module might make this function?
[edit] Okay I see what you meant, use this computer as the host and share the ...
I was actually trying to finish the install without the network and worry about it later but the cd won't eject to allow me to use the packages cd. One way or another I've got to get that modem working, no luck so far though. I think maybe I'll take that card out of that computer and put it in this ...
