Accessing files.

So, I have a ton of music files on my windows partition.
When i go to add files to a playlist in xmms I can access these as root, but not as a normal user.
If I click the /windows folder as any other user it shows as empty when I open it.

???

tried chmod a=r /windows
Any ideas?

Hm, I did that then unmounted and remounted the partition for good measure and still I cannot access anything in it.
