Hello Marcih,

Did you see similar behavior posted in the Blackmagic forums? I've tinkered with Resolve in the past, and I hacked my way through with Blackmagic posts, Google and lots of patience.

One thing that comes to my head right now -- try the installation with strace. I know is awful, but ...

Dragonlord,

You can move freemind to a local overlay and try to keep it updated-ish tinkering with the ebuild version.

In the other hand, if you want a replacement to freemind I'd suggest you to go to Gentoo's bugzilla and look for freemind removal notice and/or post a new bug regarding freeplane ...

Go relevance after Docker is installed

Hello guys,

While I'm an old Gentoo user, there is a question I was never able to answer in a proper way.

I install X package that requires Y language for its compilation. Once the compilation is done, do I need Y language installed? I mean, it's a hard dependency for X package, so: how to deal ...

Hello tmcca,

It seems that there are no modules loaded for your sound card. Check what modules are loaded (even try loading them by hand) and try again.

If that's the problem, you can add them to /etc/modules-load.d directory.

Hope that helps.

Hello Fitap,

Have you recently upgraded nvidia drivers? If it isn't the case, I suggest removing the folloowing files:

Code: Select all

./.config/konsolerc
./.local/share/kxmlgui5/konsole
./.local/share/konsole
./.config/session/konsole*
If it doesn't solve the issue, try disabling compositing.

Regards.

Power management under TTY

Hello,

I'm doing a long waited system upgrade in my laptop, and as it only has 4GB of RAM, I decided to stop X entirely and work only in TTY.

Now, the problem is, when I close the lid, my system (i5 5200u based generic laptop) goes to sleep.

How could I control that behavior? In X (I use Plasma ...

Hello orionbelt,

/dev/md3 is a raid 10 volume, as per your /proc/mdstat.

A raid 10 volume is comprised by two raid 0 members and two raid 1 members. This means there are two ways of building the array: A raid 0 volume out of two raid 1 members, or a raid 1 volume out of two raid 0 members.

In any ...

Hello guys,

I'm an old and very happy user of dark terminals with semi-transparent terminals, and since many years ago I tried to get some kind of ARGB / blur in the transparent section of the terminal.

Strange behavior after install -- sanity check available?

Hi folks,

Back on Gentoo after a long hiatus (around one year, mostly for work / time reasons), I'm happily returning to Gentoo, and after installation was finished, some strange behavior appeared. I built Gentoo inside a live Ubuntu Xenial, which hasn't been difficult at all, and when reached the ...

Compiling for a different-ish platform: crossdev didn't help

Hi,

In an Atom n2600 I've got Funtoo (x86_64) installed with a very tight set of CFLAGS (safe ones, but very specific for the architecture) and while the system runs very smooth, it's a royal PITA when it comes the time for compiling.

That being said, I need to install new software into the atom ...
