startx keep fail, nvidia deleting GPU-0

hi,

I have try to search every thread that have "nvidia" "X11" "startx" but nothing can solve my problem

My laptop is Thinkpad X1 Extreme

here are my reports :

lspci -nnk

I have installed X11 and gnome with systemd

I dont know anymore, maybe I missed something

Hi fireedo,

How are you trying to start X? Did you try startx AND a display manager? Which DM are you using atm?

Can you post /var/log/messages from boot to the X startup failed attempt?

Probably hybrid graphics of some sort, there is Intel VGA in lspci.

via command line using "startx" command
.xinitrc also have applied with

for now I just try using startx, even "xterm" cant be launched

and yes my laptop is a hybrid, have intel GPU and Nvidia 1050Ti
already installed these : xorg-drivers, xorg-x11 and xorg-server

but still nothing happen

So why don't you set it up accordingly? It is likely your nVidia cannot use the output without Intel set up and working. There are guides for such setups. Here's one for Optimus: https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/NVIDIA/Optimus

well, I have already follow that guide (or maybe I missed something?)
I have put edid file, adding xrandr command etc
