ROFLMAO!

I guess some put him just below god when it comes to the importance of the work he does!

I personally read it whenever I have time. I haven't even looked at it this week yet, so for me it's not a problem. But I can understand that people who have nothing else to do, monday and GWN is like Christmas!

Not true. Carlos lives in Japan... Which is on the leading edge of the world... So, by the time his Monday ends, most of the rest of the world is still on Monday!

Which is kinda funny, 'cause living at the end of the temporal world (GMT -9) I get the GWN on Sunday night, which is far too early for me. I like it in my INBOX on Monday morning, so that I have something to look forward too. Maybe I can get mine sent to me on a time delay .... Or just have Lovechild read it for me first, and e-mail me the jist on my Monday morining.

Maybe even a "Lovechind enabled" version of the GWN to compliment the main one...

..oh, wait, since I get it Sunday evening, and Lovechild does not get his until Monday afternoon, maybe I should just autoforward the GWN to him on Sunday, so he gets it early, and then emails it back to me, so I get it late, and everyone is happy. Oh wait, what if I go back in time and become Lovechild's father, and make him clean up his room, oh no wait, no wait,.... damn these time paradoxes!

He suffers from Tourette's Syndrome...

Mon, 6:41PM UTC+8, no sign of the GWN.

Portage-ng, I see what you was talking about - Im getting excited about this development.

I would love to pick some brains about this, and I know several other people who would like to as well.

Finally proof that Gentoo is no longer at a standstill, and that the future it bright - brighter than ever in fact.

Go Gentoo... w00t ;)

I'm for everything that breaks development standstill...

I've felt for a long time that nothing happened in the Gentoo world, at least it felt that way compared to what I was used to in the "old" pre 1.0 days.
So of course I see this as a good move, and a much needed one, I think we have hit the ceiling when it comes to Portage - I think the demands from future users will require a complete redesign.

I would like to see so many things happen to Portage, and I think this is a PERFECT time to encourage users to interact with the developers, to ripe the benefits of having more minds focusing on the problem at hand.

Portage-ng should indeed blow our minds.

Excellent! So where's those diagrams you promised?

Or do I have to do everything like the naive little interns are forced to do once every so often?....

Somehow, the portage-NG looks completely remarkable - but I wonder, what on earth is that expert system and embedded prolog for?!

Like I told the boss man, I'm currently out of the development team for health reasons.

I'm on some new meds now so once they kick in around new year I should be able to go full force on some of the piles of work I have lying around.

Why do the xml-file and the mail get delivered so much earlier than it gets put on the front page?

It is severall hours apart.

A better question to ask is why the newsletter on mail gives you the url http://www.gentoo.org/news/en/gwn/current.xml ... which is still linked to the Nov. 10th newsletter, and the new newsletter's url does not even exist (http://www.gentoo.org/news/en/gwn/20031 ... letter.xml)

*sigh* :(
