thanks a lot
I prefer the version resetting, personally (more descriptive that way). At a glance, you can see what specific version of the kernel you are running (vs. 2.6.13-nitro2, which could be any subversion). The only thing it doesn't tell you if it is the 5th nitro since 2.6.13 came out (i.e. is 2.6.13.2-nitro1 the first in the .13 series or the second? the 80th?), but that info isn't important, IMO.Anthaus wrote:I just thought it was odd, since Con Kolivas (or anyone else) doesn't reset his patches numbering with every sub-version release.seppe wrote:Nope, it's going to be 2.6.13.2-nitro1. It's a different Linux kernel base(2.6.13.2 instead of 2.6.13.1), so I reset the "nitro" version numbering.
The current ck5 patchset includes the .2 update.

Yeah, but CK5 is based on 2.6.13 not 2.6.13.2. Con includes a 2.6.13_to_2.6.13.2 in his patches. I use 2.6.13.2 as a base, not 2.6.13.Anthaus wrote:I just thought it was odd, since Con Kolivas (or anyone else) doesn't reset his patches numbering with every sub-version release.seppe wrote:Nope, it's going to be 2.6.13.2-nitro1. When do you think the new 2.6.13.2-nitro ebuild will be released?

Would you do me a favor and send me a tarball of your geekchiks directory?
What program did you use to let you do 3d switching of workspaces?
Edit: found the 3ddesktop for the 3d switching.
And what are you using for a starterdock in your snapshot1.png at the top there? Thanks man!
Yeah, I found them. That's why I was asking if you _would_ make a tartball of them for me so I could just d/l the tarball of all of them.* I don't have a tarball of the geekchicks, but you can find them in http://users.pandora.be/seppe/geekchicks![]()
