im compiling using these useflags and it working so far

I just switched back to linux after a year of being basically computerless.

Okay, my geforce4 died, so I put in an old geforce2 mx. There should be no problem there, both cards are supported by the latest nvidia driver.

cedega cvs is nowhere up to date, last time I looked it hadn't been updated in over a year...

Okay found my problem, I had some older versions (7667) of the nvidia driver in /usr/lib.

I made sure the only nvidia files are the latest versions (8178) and made sure all my symlinks are what they are supposed to be. That fixed all my problems

No I don't have nvidia in my use flags, I tried using -nvidia and compiling again but im getting the same error.

This is friggen annoying, portage won't let me downgrade my nvidia drivers without downgrading xorg to 6.8. this is super duper annoying

well I can't even get vendetta online to download, it will download then randomly stop somewhere during the download, even when using a download manager the MD5 does not check out, I can't even find a bit torrent mirror or anything, pretty lame
