Rechner herunterfahren kommt nur, wenn Du auch kdm benutzt.

So far so good: Resizing the video does the Job. All is fine now after authoring the dvd. BUT!: The Videos are double in size now! 8O Means from 400MB to 800MB a 20min episode.

Maybe anyone knows the other way around. Whats needed to tell the TV or the DVD player to strech the 480x576 Movie to full ...

I collected the icons from the last Pages and they are now part of the icon set at http://www.gentoo.org/dyn/icons.xml. Sorry for those links that where down or not "*.png" they simply slipped through my script.

Ich hatte ähnliche Probleme.. gelöst durch neucompilieren aller abhängigkeiten. Auswendig weiss ich die nicht mehr, aber halt was mit phyton und so zu tun hat....

Die paketfilter müssen in den Kernel integriert werden, oder als modul zumindest mitgebaut werden. Is bischen tricky, bis man alles zussammen hat, was man braucht. mach einfach alles bis auf die experimentals das hat bei mir auch geholfen.

Das Phenomen hatte ich auch. Konnte ich lösen, in dem ich die SCSI emulation an dem Laufwerk aktiviert haben (Du weisst schon.. diese Geschichte in Grub scsi=/dev/hdc)

Hab ich allerdings dann wieder entfernt und schaue selbstgebrannte dvds jetzt mit dem Brenner, da die scsi emulation mir zu viel ...

Oder Du hast vergessen, in /etc/conf.d/net die Zeile für dhpd auf eth1 zu adden.

Das hier haste aber alles?:

for some reason the Epson Driver (or whatever demon) didnt compile here. But finaly the Printer runs fine here with the ppd from www.linuxprinting.org. But only with this one: >>Epson-Stylus_C62-gimp-print-ijs.ppd <<.

BTW i followed the official Printer Guide up to the point where you make ...

Just start idesk at the commandline. Maybe you'd like to put idesk & to your xstartup script if everything is fine. By the way: the docs are most likely at /usr/doc/idesk-0.3.5-r1/

It is. I tried fbdesk once, but idesk shows up much nicer. just emerge idesk. man idesk shows how to set up a rc file and to implement icons to the desktop. Like I said fluxbox with idesk is my choice.

So was hatte ich bei meinem Router.. Programm abstürze aus unerfindlichen gründen. Plötzlich, nach 344 Tagen, ein Totalabsturz.. Bei der Gelegenheit hab ich dann gleich mal ne größere HDD eingebaut.
