Beim Herunterfahren X offenlassen und Bild anzeigen?

Hi,

Sorry, I don't have a real answer for you...did you try to change your Cflags (perhaps even other architecture like athlon-xp only) or try to "emerge linux-headers".

But I had a problem when I upgraded DirectFB today: The mouse didn't work anymore. The reason is, that the new versions (>0.9.21) don ...

Is it possible to use DirectFB on a voodoo3 with tv-out?

Hi,
I'm using a Voodoo3 3000 with TV-Out for my "Multimedia Station". The TV-Out works fine using this modeline in xorg:
ModeLine "720x576PAL" 27.50 720 744 800 880 576 581 583 625
However, I would like to use the framebuffer (directfb with the tdfxfb kernel module) which does not work. My fb ...

Re: [Shell Programming] FPS of a movie and changing modeline

Hi,
1. thats not really related to bash scripting.
2. That sounds really weird, why would you want to to that? Bad picture?

Servus ;)
1. to what is it related?
2. No the picture itself isn't really bad. But playing back an ntsc-movie with my voodoo3-tvout set at PAL lets the video get a little ...

[Shell Programming] FPS of a movie and changing modeline?

Hi,
I have two questions regarding shell script programming:
1. With what command can I determine the fps of an avi movie? mplayer displays it but I need to know the fps before playing the movie.
2. I've got two modelines in my xorg-config. One is for playing back ntsc movies and one for pal. How ...

It's located here http://www.slac.stanford.edu/~strauman/pers/tp4utils/index.html now and I got it working using the /dev/psaux-patch (Til Strauman has linked it on his homepage after I found this patch). Basically, it goes like that:

I always get "error in command line options: fall back to text mode" when I try to start qingy (now on gentoo-dev-sources-2.6.8). "/sbin/qingy tty3" in /etc/inittab should be right, isn't it?
Oh yeah and when I try to start it manually via just typing "qingy tty1" on the console, I get no real error ...

CONFIG_PIIX_TUNING=y ?

I have a "problem" while configuring the kernel (2.4.26). I have to enable PIIX IDE support for my chipset and the help function tells me to enable CONFIG_PIIX_TUNING=y too. However I cannot find this option anywhere (not even in the raw .config-file). Does this option still exist or has it been ...

I tried gentoo-dev-sources 2.6.7-r14 (ok this perhaps one has the bootsplash patch so it won't work) as well as the vanilla 2.6.7-sources and qingy (or DirectFB) 0.41 just locks up my PC with a black screen on both kernels :(
nptl is completely disabled (was a complete reinstall from stage 1 without ...

A lot of packages fail to emerge...

I have a lot of ebuilds which don't emerge properly anymore when trying to update them. For example curl exits because of this error (the whole log is longer but as far as I can see, this is the main reason for the compile failing)
In file included from main.c:96:
/usr/include/sys/poll.h:30: error ...

As far as I can see, your error is quite different to mine...it seems for me that you should recompile gcc (perhaps downgrading helps if you're using a masked version of it).

Apache not compiling?

Emerging apache just doesn't work here. I tried it with different CFlags but always got the same error. gcc-version is 3.3.3-r6. Does anyone know what's going wrong here? I got a quite similar result when compiling pure-ftpd (see my other thread where noone replied :-()

Emerge pure-ftpd fails?

Somehow I can't compile pure-ftpd (neither 1.0.16(b), nor 1.0.17 nor 1.0.18). I already tried changing my CFLAGS (changed to "-O3 march=pentium3") and reemerging gcc (v.3.3.3-r6) but I always get something like this (the output from below used another cflag but I get the exact same error with just ...

anjuta: "Execute"-Command not working?

I tried anjuta today and everything seems to work fine. However, after compiling the code (plain c without gui and no project file) the execute-command (F3) just seems to do nothing? Running the compiled program from a seperate console works fine however...How can I achieve that anjuta opens up a ...
