How would I take screen captures of the rubber band? Is there any program that I can set up to just press Prt Scr and have it take a snapshot like in windows?

I actualy found another fix for it in a different thread......open kmix and unmute everything then leave it open and log out and back in and it will save the settings and you never have to open kmix again.....but the unchecking restore volumes on login would probably work just the same.

How is everyones new semi transparent rubber band working? Mine seems to not be doing so well. It is really slow to draw and has a hard time keeping up with the mouse. And sometimes the outline doesn't get drawn on which ever side I happen to be exapanding. And this is on Dual Athlon 1900's with 512 ...

either change your xorg.conf to use /dev/psaux(is you have a ps2 mouse at least) or you can follow the information on this page and make a rule that will create the /dev/mouse symlink on startup

Did you use the 0.2 patch or the 0.2.1 with the fix for kdeartwork 3.3.1?

nope that's not it but thanks anyways, anyone else have any ideas? If nothing else as soon as 3.3.1 makes its way into portage I'll switch to that but before I wiped my system clean and reinstalled everything from scratch a few weeks ago it worked fine with 3.3

amixer set Master 100 unmute
But that gets kinda annoying....And this happens every time I start KDE not the computer it self. I've ...

Well if we're gonna get on this subject I just think I should mention that Apple chose KHTML over Gecko because kde did a superior job coding it and it uses something like half the amount of code to do the same thing..... And with apple contributing to it now any of the tiny tiny bugs and the few ...

# (change 'sr0' to suite your setup)
LOOKUP ^cdrw$ CFUNCTION GLOBAL mksymlink sr0 cdrw
REGISTER ^sr0$ CFUNCTION GLOBAL mksymlink $devname cdrw ...
