It just started doing that with no apparent reason.

Firefox binary dosn't make that mistake though.

the wget version i have after emerge sync is 1.8-r3 , but in packages.gentoo.org it appears to be 1.9 since both 1.8-r2 and r3 are Masked.

You have a little error, more or less reported about the passwd file.

The correct way to do it is:

1.put the user name followed by ':'

I've installed gentoo sucessfully on 2 other PCs , one of them a notebook, but i can't install it on another PC, a 600Mhz Athlon...


It can't find passwd nor mount , where does those 2 files come from??
I can't find them on my stage 2 file...

Also it fails to start devfsd , and obviously chrashes ...

I also merged it... but still can't get ito to work...
No java found...

And, yes... it's on my java-config...

No need for that. Gentoo-sources already includes the new O(1) scheduler which has no real limit to your number of runnig threads/process ...

Em relação ao kernel 2.4.20 já tens a versão vannila actualizada há muito tempo, mas a versão 2.4.20 do gentoo-sources ainda não é considerada completamente estável por isso é que ainda não aparece como disponivel, mas se quiseres podes tentar usar.[/i]

Acabei de transferir o meu outro PC, mas isto tá com um problema profundamente estúpido com versões..

A última versão do kernel que apanha é a 2.4.19-r10.... eu quero q 2.4.20

do apache só apanha a 1.3.27 ...

acabei de fazer um emerge sync...

mas tem o KDE 3.1 e o gcc 3.2.1
