uh, now it's ok, i changed nothing in xorg.conf, just cutted "ati radeon" from VIDEO_CARDS in make.conf and reemerged ati-drivers, now:

it seems that the fglrx module loads correctly, but another error appears in the Xorg.0.log
grep EE /var/log/Xorg.0.log
(WW) warning, (EE) error, (NI) not implemented ...

same problem here, as in the config.log you have to re-emerge media-libs/smpeg

hi, suddenly i cannot boot anymore, i think after installing udev and missing something.
after grub i get this error:
fsck.ext3: no such file or directory while trying to open /dev/hda3
but with a livecd i can mount and browse that filesystem and fsck say it is clean, it's like does not exists ...

ciao, ho un problema un po' strano, praticamente il filesystem che monto sotto /var mi diventa read-only mentre cerco di fare un emerge. Dopo il reboot, /var è tranquillamente read-write, poi lancio l'emerge, e dopo qualche dipendenza mi da errore dicendo che /var è read-only!!!

strano, anche perchè amule non è certo un programma "mangia risorse", nè cdrecord, a parte la lettura e scrittura da/su disco, che effettivamente possono impegnare anche tutta la disponibilità di cpu presente.
