I'm not sure what came over me but I decided to try ~ppc (unstable branch). Halfway through the switch, I realized I don't have the extra time to do this or to put myself on that steep of a learning curve. I was aware there are risks to running ~ppc and it is no simple task to return to stable. I've reverted back to stable packages except for sys-apps/coreutils-6.4 and sys-libs/glibc-2.5 (well there are a few others I have in package.keywords but those I'd like to keep ~ppc). I'm aware that downgrading the previously mentioned is no simple task however I am unsure as to how difficult it actually is. My two biggest problems I've encountered so far are: many udevd error messages at boot, and inablity to connect to my wireless network at home (eth1 not found). Please let me know what I need to do bring my system back to stable.
EDIT: Just thought I'd add... those of you running ~ppc, what has your experience been like? Lots of trouble and fixing? I'd run ~ppc if I could use my system from day to day.
