Installing kernels with ugRD: How can I silence the output?

Having problems with the Gentoo Handbook? If you're still working your way through it, or just need some info before you start your install, this is the place. All other questions go elsewhere.

Installing kernels with ugRD: How can I silence the output?

Assuming I use installkernel with ugRD because i prefer minimal solutions (and Gentoo is excellent for tinkering, so i tinker wherever i can):
How can i make ugRD stop writing several pages of INFO stuff and patches to stdout while installing the kernel?

While it works as intended (emerge --update --deep --newuse @world updated my kernel today, and it worked immediately), I would prefer to have a less verbose output. There are log files for this sort of thing! :)
I already use the new Genthree.

According to the IRC, this is not really intentional behaviour. I filed a bug:
