UT2004 Linux Demo client is not ready yet. There's a showstopper in it, but I've been awake for days, and can't gather the concentration to fix it.
This will be available soon, but probably not tonight. Sorry to disappoint.
The good news is that getting these embarrassing moments out of the way during the demo means the final retail version will be ready to go on time.

Why not just wait until tommorow, when the native linux-demo arrives? Sure, I can't wait either (or, actually I can, because my system is way below par..the lone crouton wrote:OK, I've just got cvswinex, and am d/l'ing the windows demo now.
Anything in /.cvswinex/config I need to look out for? (Never used wine/x before)
Is this kind of crap really necessary? They go to the trouble of porting their client to Linux (I would be surprised if they saw a profit from this), and you complain about having to wait one more day than Windows users to play the demo?it had better be out tomorow, personally i think they should have waited to not piss off, or slightly annoy linux and mac users.
