I know, knetworkmanager (which was supposed to get released with KDE SC 4.4) is masked. I tried it anyway and (of course) I ran into an error. Now this is strange, because I have been using an older (svn) version from kde-testing on another computer and it worked perfectly. Anyway, I'd be glad to know how I can get it to work... Here is what I did:
1) I unmasked knetworkmanager
Code: Select all
echo "kde-misc/knetworkmanager" >> /etc/portage/package.unmask3) I logged into KDE SC 4.4 and issued "knetworkmanager" in konsole, this is what I got
A window telling me:
Code: Select all
KNetworkManager cannot start because the installation is misconfigured. System DBus policy does not
allow it to provide user settings; contact your system administrator or distribution.
KNetworkManager will not start automatically in future.
Code: Select all
