Yep. Nothing different.didymos wrote:Second question about something you probably did already: have you tried revdep-rebuild?

Here's the output...01mf02 wrote:In my version the MP3 output plugin is called libmadplug.so (WARNING: it's not the same as libmodplug.so!). Just for completeness, could you also add the output of "emerge audacious audacious-plugins -pv"?
I have libmad.so, but no libmadplug.so.Calculating dependencies... done!
[ebuild R ] media-sound/audacious-1.3.2 USE="nls -chardet" 0 kB
[ebuild R ] media-plugins/audacious-plugins-1.3.3 USE="alsa esd mad* nls opengl oss vorbis -aac -adplug -arts -chardet -flac -jack -lirc -modplug -musepack -pulseaudio -sid -sndfile -timidity -tta -wavpack -wma" 0 kB

This means that the next time you build audacious-plugins the mad USE flag will be enabled, so you should rebuild audacious-plugins, then MP3 playback will work for you.[ebuild R ] media-plugins/audacious-plugins-1.3.3 USE="alsa esd mad* nls opengl oss vorbis -aac -adplug -arts -chardet -flac
You were right, but I had to also delete the /var/tmp/portage/media-plugins/audacious-plugins-1.3.3 directory (I tried without doing this and it didn't work). Anybody know why this is?01mf02 wrote: This means that the next time you build audacious-plugins the mad USE flag will be enabled, so you should rebuild audacious-plugins, then MP3 playback will work for you.
