No problem with that. I have digest in my make.conf turned on. The issues i have with that is on one hand i have my distfiles on a extra computer (my server, an old k6-2) with a 10MBit connection, so digesting the linux-2.###.tar.bz2 takes some time. This time could be spared if the digest was included in an archive i could download from the morph-download page/sourceforge.just grad the ebuild and ebuild morph.ebuild digest will do the rest for you
Of course, that was not my point(i did not make it clear enough). I think it means more "stress" to the sourceforge server to serve 2 download requests than one, and when downloading 2 files (the ebuild and the patch) from sourceforge, the "stress" is greater as when i download just one file, let's say a tar that contains the ebuild and the patch. The main patch and the ebuild belong together, and may be delivered together.there're sourceforge rules, i guess, you don't have to link the file directly.
Emerge reiser4progs with the "static" USE flag turned on. It is indeed very useful to compile such stuff statically, I have a small (~1GB) minimal Ubuntu install for emergency cases on which I copied the reiser4 binaries.Tuttle wrote:So that's my question: how could i compile reiser4 utilities in static mode and put it on my /boot partition to be sure i could reach it in case i need to fsck some partitions ?

This suggests that you enabled the Suspend Userspace User Interface
support (CONFIG_SOFTWARE_SUSPEND_USERSPACE_UI). You probably weren't
after this if you're just trying to get things running. You can
either compile it out, or set "ProcSetting disable_userui_support 1"
in hibernate.conf (hopefully you have text mode support compiled in
too!)

Is that the problem with suspend_userui? Have you tried the suggestion from Ahorn above? I can't add swsusp2 2.1.8.5, since it is only for 2.6.12-rc1. Sorrym0sia wrote:what is about adding Software Suspend 2.1.8.5? i have problems with 2.1.8.2.
