I had moz-1.6 and coping with it being so slow (like near 45 seconds to start from 0), so much that I always left an instance opened.
It then occured I have Epiphany and it loads about 2x faster than Moz, but Epiphany lacks a lot of good extensions, my 3 favorites essential ones being the GoogleBar, AdBlock and FlashBlock. I tried to do without them but it was simply too unbareable.
I knew that Firefox was using gtk, so I tought it must speed up things a bit in Gnome. I intended to wait until 1.0, but what the heck. Man, what was I waiting for? It's just as fast as Epiphany, with all my favorites extensions in bonus (apart MultiZilla).
So, here, Firefox (0.9.1) beats Mozilla-1.6 hands down. My question is... why

. My Moz only has the browser and the composer. Maybe it's the extensions in it that clashes, I have no clue.
Bottom line: FIrefox is hot, Moz is not.
