I have a cheap sound card on a server board w/o sound and KDE does not see any sound devices - I need suggestions on detecting the card which is a CMedia based with excellent FOSS support. _________________ AsRock Rack Rome8-2t

rechecked and it does show up - cmedia based analong
looking at kde and it's still complaining about no audio system so it looks like alsa is the go to for me. Just need to know why all of the sound cards are disabled in the package and which one I'd need to get it working of if I need to lsmod and load the driver - using the binary kernal _________________ AsRock Rack Rome8-2t
