Another problem you are going to run in to... the prototypes for push and pop both say they take an array of integers or a pointer to an integer as a first argument, but the actual definitions of the functions don't. Bad idea. The fluid nature of Gentoo means that configuration steps are constantly changing. Take a look at baselayout -- a fix in one version to solve a problem likely won't be possible in the next version, since variables and/or the "way to do it" has changed ...

Alright, I got the laptop a week ago and I've been setting it up. Almost everything appears to work so far, including the touchpad, hard drive, DVD burner, graphics, sound, ethernet, wifi, bluetooth, and MMC/SD card reader. The MS part of the card reader doesn't work yet though.
