But i dont like to set up xmms manualy to make it play as it should.
Ofc it may be my foult i dunno how to use it
I never had problem with playing music in xmms when with Staircase based kernels (u mnie wszystko dzia³a :wink:)

Yup, i loaded agpgart module before start :)
I tryed also without it.

Nice kernel, but... i have to use driver "nv" in /etc/X11/xorg.conf to start X server. When i try "nvidia" i just get a black screen.
Yes, I know this kernel require agpgart, so i included it as a module, but it's no use.
My X is now slow, i see it for example when maximizing windows, etc ...

System hangs when starting X (versions 6.8.0 and 6.8.1.902), NVIDIA kernel tested versions 6629-r1 and -r2, sheduler Was deadline, tryed also genetic anticipatory.

Redeeman, a c compiler would be a nice bonus on your livecd ;]
If you don't want gcc + glibc, think about tcc + uclibc, or diet-libc

Tiny C Compiler is the fastest c compiler i ever seen(too bad it dosen't do any optimizations) http://fabrice.bellard.free.fr/tcc/
/usr/bin/tcc is only 116K on my ...

PrakashKC: I think he wants people that will compile and compile(like betatesters or something)and this will provide information about what is brokern - what to repair.
I'm compiling with +nptl +kde, the rest ofthe flags is - of course ;]

My system hanged when i compiled or was just browsing the web with firefox.

I don't know why it's doing that to me... maybe staircase 9.0 related problem ?

Hi there.

I had enought space to compile this beast.
I had gcc compiled with my own CFLAGS, so... recompilation with default did the job.

/usr/portage/distfiles/ was on XFS.

Maybe i'll do some other benchmarks later (yup, creating tarball from kernel source).

I created Reiser4 on /dev/hda4 (above 7GB). And...

-First system startup was awfuly long.
-Second was better, but:
*Firefox, Xorg, kde - such programs were starting 3 times ...

Strange... i have 256MB RAMu + 530MB swap so it shoudn't be killed. -j ihave value of 2.

I misstyped in those USE. it should be "-java -gnome -kde" of course.
