bootstrap segfaults trying 'ls -t' .... gentoo's STLport-4.6.2 does sth horrible. after source LinuxEnvblah script many progs segfault. so its impossible. debian unstable STLport-4.6.2 works(tm) - OOo Dev - statement.

Hell, you are having pretty aggressive flags, but OO builds for you... But you use -gnome -kde? I used +gnome +kde and this didn't work. BTW, I tried Ximian and got a compile error.

they are not really aggressive...

prefetch/array/loop flags are breaking stuff or do things unstable. mine are fine for 99.99%. some dislike frame-pointer flags. the rest is sane or gets cut from ebuild

thats old, look the pages before. and then it errors with undefined references on linking. any gnome OOo hacker around?

i use -gnome and -kde.

when the linking fails check what function fails. check where the function comes from. system or internal. on linking it misses -lblah usually ... like for vcl it misses '-lXrender' because it just does not load it dynamically... who knows why...

Above is no linking problem afaik. Beside the tons of warnign the errors indicate some gcc3.4 related errors.

as long as noone offers a gnome/kde box to fix the code involved by that use-flags i do nothing. my ximian build is done and works ^^

anyone compiling ximian may check if their c[xx]flags are used?! although that ebuild exports ARCH_FLAGS it uses ximian's default here. I did not change that part...

ebuild unpack - setting that flag - ebuild compile | install | qmerge did it ...

edit: blah that didnt do it

this did it: editing ebuild to comment sh build.sh and next line. then ebuild compile switching into OOo environment (see first page) - setting that flag - sh build.sh manually - ebuild install | qmerge

anyone else having that issue?
