Why not make a reiser4 use flag for the ~x86 Gentoo Sources so that people can deal with it where they want it. In my experience people are too lazy to keep an overly up to date. If they're willing to use a deemed-experimental filesystem for their systems, they are assuredly not too lazy to keep ...

Yay joey_knisch, works for me using gcc-3.4.4.

Just a minor point, but those of us who don't always live on the bleeding edge need;

ACCEPT_KEYWORDS='~x86' emerge --onlydeps -av brlcad
.
.
.
ACCEPT_KEYWORDS='~x86' emerge brlcad

Don't do that. Add it to the /etc/portage/package.keywords ...

cent1: ebuilds for reiser4kernels exist and have existed for a long time(mm,nitro, archck, etc...). MM is in portage and the others just need to be put in an overlay. I believe you misunderstood what I meant. I wasn't clear. While standing on the sidelines for all of these discussions I have come ...

Not in my case. As stated iTunes 6.0.1 (3) for os x gives incompatible database version.

With iTunes 5+ I believe you need mt-daapd 2.2+

When I upgraded iTunes I ran into ...

My 2 cents...

cent 1:
Reiser4 does need to settle down before getting vanilla. However someone should make a simple reiser4kernel ebuild and get it in portage for those that demand that sort of thing. That would most likely shut everybody up (no offense).

cent2:

I just ended managing eclipse myself. Make sure you have all the deps and install it as non root in somewhere in your ~/

That way you can use it's eclipse's in plugin system.

It really shouldn't make too big of difference. I myself would probably hold of on the amd64 so more apps get compatable with it. :)

A biometric HID standard needs to be created so that companies can write standard devices and developers can create standard drivers. That will be the best answer I think. It takes the weakest link out of it and provides for minimum effort from the end user.

BRL-CAD can import autocad stuff. For more info, look at it's wikipedia entry.

If you are still interested in using BRL-CAD, here is the bug entry where ebuilds are being built. The one I made in September seems to work for people but it sounds like a nice ebuild for the newer version of BRL-CAD ...

It was one of the only things that kept me from using kde for a while.
