I'm trying to migrate from the no-multilibs profile to desktop/kde, so I can run virtualbox. I first thought I'd recompile everything in system. It fails when it comes to gcc.

I tried viewing youtube videos on a different profile, but on the same computer and it worked. There must be something wrong with my firefox profile that is causing youtube not to work.

I do have the ffmpeg use flag enabled.

I have a mythtv box that hasn't been used in a couple of months. I tryed using it tonight, with the latest ivtv driver (from ~amd64, 0.10.10-r1) and the 2x Hauppauge WinTV PVR-250 cards. VHF channels worked fine, however, UHF channels came in as snow. The kernel is 2.6.19-gentoo-r5.

I too have a GeForce 6800 GT.

I traced the issue to cross-mingw32/gcc-3.4.1. Somehow it made my system think the mingw32 compiler was the main compiler. The cross-compiler must be why the emerge info that I posted shows the gcc compiler to be 3.4.1 even though I have sys-devel/gcc-4.1.1-r1 installed.
