So I tried per @alamhant suggestion, to go for 3.7 python directly, even though I don't have it installed already. But that did only make end up in the circular dep issue reported elsewhere.

e.g.

* Error: circular dependencies:

(sys-libs/glibc-2.30-r8:2.2/2.2::gentoo, ebuild scheduled for merge ...

Well Im a bit late but I just replaced my SECOND intel 7260 AC mini pcie card in my gentoo router.
My motherboard only accepts minipcie, so no m.2 option and here in sweden the 7260 was pretty much the only option 4 years ago and still is.

I got similar errors as you did after like 2.5 years of ...

My router started to crash randomly over 2 months ago or so.
Its a home built ITX router and it was more or less 3 years old on the day the problem started,

I knew from the logs that I had not upgraded the system in over 30 days so I suspected hardware early on.

Everything pointed to the iwlwifi ...

Did you run TWO passes of memtest86+ ? As I sad newer versions will only do a quick scan the first pass. The Second pass will be the real test. Reason they did so is because most faults can be detected with out scanning all the addresses of the ram. So simply if it has no errors during pass 1 let it ...

The ram supports 1333Mhz 9-9-9-24 @ 1.5V most likley, that JEDEC specs and very common and most DDR has that as a Default SPD profile, some times even 1066Mhz for older ram and systems. Depends on what the CPU supports.

I run my 1600Mhz ram at 1333Mhz on my Haswell Refresh. Simply because it ...

I would run memtest86+ and two passes, the first pass is just a quick scan the second on will take much longer and check all the ram properly.

I do this on all new systems I build or upgrade. Some times the fix is a simple bios flash to improve ram compatibility.

Theirs work around existed on windows ever since the first Nvidia PCI-E 3.0 cards came out.
But there is a reason why your card is not tunning at 3.0 by default.

I have done what you did on my system when I bought a GTX 780.

As fare as I know nvidia only do this on systems using chipset that do ...

I usually see those errors on drives with bad or pending sectors.
Never seen them otherwise. I would say its not normal.
If your lucky maybe its a bad sata cable. That can mess stuff up to.
Should be as simple as trying another on and rerun the test.
SMART can predict failures in about 2/3 of the ...

Since the long self test reads all sectors the sector obviously works right?
Have you run "smartctl -t offline /dev/sdX" to force a SMART update?
If you do that the pending sector count might go back to 0 after a long self test has passed. That is what I have done before.
Like I sad some hard drives ...

start by emerging smartmontools

Then run smartctl -a /dev/sdX (X is your hard drive say a or b etc)
That will spit out all the SMART data available.

Now you realy want to look at just the values of the SMART data and you can do that by using -A flag.

smartctl -A /dev/sdX

If you have one or more ...

The guides probably assumed you did a fresh install where x11 probably is default. Also the ebuild for any vga driver usually suggest that you need to do that switch after emerging it so you might have mist reading that.

Yea I would easily go with an i7 to day or an i5. Its hard to justify the small saving on a FX processor considering that the saving often is so small you end up wasting it on cooling or just the power bill. Plus the platform is dated and AMD dont seem very interested in it any more.
There FM2 ...

If you play KSP you want THE fastest per core performance you can get. Thats intel nothing else and that comes from an old AMD fan.
The FX-9590 is 220W TDP! Not even my i7 3930K @ 4Ghz gets up to that, about 180W TDP, its pretty easy to calculate.

I dont think you save anything going the AMD router ...
