From which package do you guys got the /etc/conf.d/wireless config-files?!

I don't have such a file although I'm looking for something like that.

No idea what map is but following works pretty well for me:

title Windows XP
rootnoverify (hd0,0)
makeactive
chainloader +1

so u have to use (hd1,0)

On my system, flash works correctly.

Mozilla Firebird/0.6.1 with netscape-flash/6.0.79

I just thinlk it is a problem with permissions
So it looks like ;-)

try as root following:

chown -R mike:users /home/mike
and then again try to startx as mike - hope it works for u

I reemerged the MozillaFirebird with the USE-Flag "+java" - thats it.

I started Firebird from the console and visited the terratec-page, but there was no negative outpu on my xterm.

So I'm quite sure, the problem is the wrong MIME-Type. :(

I have installed Firebird 0.61 and blackdown-jdk-1.4.1
about:plugins returns supporting of java.
But if i visit a page with applets, i get the default plugin download window.

i guess there's a problem with the MIME-Types, because in the about:plugins Window
there are listed MIME-Types like ...

Hi,
i have troubles during installing lyx. The dependencies are installed successfully, but if emerge tries app-office/lyx-1.3.2, the compile-procedure crashes with these messages:

checking for moc... /usr/qt/3//bin/moc
checking for uic... /usr/qt/3//bin/uic
checking for Qt library name... failed ...

i have my profiles in ~/.bash_profile and so i have to start xterm with the -ls option.
Now i tried moved my profiles in .bashrc, and it worked also fine.

So, give it a try:

For X the minimum requirement is XFree86.
emerge xfree86

If you want Gnome:

emerge gnome

The needed dependencies will be installed automatically. Also if u want to install KDE type

emerge kde

and then let it run!

For example if u type
emerge -p gnome
all packeges are listed, which will ...

without a network connection u will have problems to emerge something.
i guess u didn't read the installation manual.

I guess you installed GPL Flashplugin! I had the same Problem.
Now i use net-www/netscape-flash instead, and Firebird works perfectly ;-)
