openoffice build failure

i am getting the following when trying to emerge -u openoffice

idlc: compile 'MeasureShape.idl' ...
../../../../com/sun/star/drawing/PointSequenceSequence.idl(66) : Statement can not be parsed, unexpected $undefined.

i read about oo being very sensitive to CFLAG settings..

i had no CFLAGS set at all in make.conf

can anyone help

For compiling openoffice its recommend a ggc >= 3.2.1
Which one do u have installed?

i have

gcc (GCC) 3.2.3 20030422 (Gentoo Linux 1.4 3.2.3-r1, propolice)

i take it you meant gcc?
