How to force "konsole" to do a "source /etc/p

Hi,

If I start a terminal-session in kde (konsole) I get a prompt saying the bash-version followed by a "#".

I need to do a "source /etc/profile" to get the hostname instead. My .bashrc is ignored too, until I do a "source /etc/profile".

How can I force konsole to do it automatically?

Thank you

i have my profiles in ~/.bash_profile and so i have to start xterm with the -ls option.
Now i tried moved my profiles in .bashrc, and it worked also fine.

So, give it a try:

Code: Select all

xterm -ls
