Considering there are only about a dozen distributions that are supporting Xfree, it's not really worth the effort. Xfree 4.4 was forked just before the change to the new license, so the original release of Xorg should be nearly the exact same as Xfree 4.4.

Any ...

Asus has a 5200 version for 105 dollars that includes dual DVI, but I don't know where you would find it in stock.

Try Newegg so you can get an idea of what is out there with their search. You can go through cards with dual DVI and get all the ...

Very nice script so far. I changed a few things to my likings, so I might as well post them back to the forums. Going to do code snippets so that the thread doesn't get too confusing with pasted code.

What protocols are the crashes coming with? I would not be surprised if you are having an issue with Yahoo, and from what I can glean from talking with the gaim devs it sounds like a lot of code will change as it applies to .76. If it wasn't happening until the revisions of .75, most likely it won't ...

They were removed for copyright reasons:

Pretty much, what happened is that the people who made the ebuilds wouldn't give their real names, to attribute that copyright to.

/usr/share/pixmaps seems to be where it stores the smilies.

.gaim/icons possibly is where it stores the buddy icons? Does that have the correct permissions? Have you cleared out all the settings and the such and checked to see if it recreates the dirs and then works?

With the way Microsoft PR works, I'd imagine the interviews went something like this:

Microsoft Rep: "So, why do you use open source software?"
Open Source User: "Because it's a better overall system and is free."
*Microsoft rep checks off because it's free*

If you change use flags and do a --deep on emerge, it can find different dependencies. Evidently as was previously mentioned, you added the use flag doc (I assume) and now it wants to emerge the docs for all those apps.

Maybe I'm completely off base here, but what is this all about? Portage seems to be at the heart of this argument and also the politics.

First off, the politics mean nothing to an end user. If it works, I could truly care less if Daniel Robbins is a strange sadist who used to star in x-rated films ...

Blizzard has annoying policies for everything... I've gotten used to it, and am just not going to buy any more of their products nor let any of my gaming friends consider doing it either. They make good games, but they have the worst support and policies ever conceived.
