A have this problem too on my KDE 4.3.4.

Quick solution:
1- Go to the Trash folder and create a file with the exact name of the one in the message.
E.g. in your case: 2- Now try emptying the Trash Can.

Voila. No more error message.

I found what the problem was in my situation.

I also have a TV-Card in me system: Leadtek WinFast TV2000XP Global

As soon as I Unpluged the TV Card from the PC, my sound problems were gone.

I pluged the card again and recompiled my Kernel with no:
CONFIG_VIDEO_CX88_ALSA option this time.

I have an SND-HDA-Realtek onboard audio. (My motherboard: GA-M750SLI-DS4 )

Amarok was playing fine yesterday, though no video player could play sound nor the Flash Sites (yuoutube, etc....)

Today, the DragonPlayer plays fine but Amarok is knocked out once again.

Isn't there ...

I tried the card=0 option as well as the card=5 which is a similar TV-card but nothing worked.
I don't know what else I can do...

Any ideas??

Your Card might not be supported yet.
The best link for running TV-cards under Linux is here .
Unfortunately there isn't much info about your card.

I'd recommend you try the card=0 setting (since it claims that your card is unknown) and see if it works then.

The devs have incorporated the appropriate patch to the ati-drivers-8.542 ebuild.

It seems that the Gentoo devs beat me to it.

I did a:
emerge --sync

installed the gentoo-sources-2.6.27 ,
rebooted the new kernel ,
installed the ati-drivers-8.542 again
and it did not complain at all. No Errors.
