app-emulation/docker-17.03 to 17.06 containers issue

Hi

I've just run into the problem of upgrading from app-emulation/docker-17.03 to 17.06 where my containers created in the prior version would not start in the new version. Now the problem is that I can't easily downgrade to 17.03 as this version has been removed from portage and 17.06 is the new ...

I am a regular (daily check via cron) updater, and like others in this thread I hit this problem as soon as perl was unmasked as stable. I waited a few days to see if the problem went away - which is my first strategy, since often it is just that the portage tree hasn't been completely updated when ...

On my systems the extented attributes were built into the kernel, but I had to add the user_xattr mount option to the affected filesystem using /etc/fstab .

Another workaround for now is to exclude that specific package in a larger update.

Code: Select all

Hi,

I've also had these problems when upgrading from 5.16 to 5.18, which I fought through much trial and error. I've just encountered the same issue upgrading from 5.18 to 5.20 and here's the command line that actually worked by itself without uninstalling anything:

sudo emerge -va1D dev-lang ...

Hi, I'm still stuck with the same error. Does anyone have any idea of what causes the issue? I've just tried to rsync my tree and rebuild policycoreutils and selinux-base-policy, but it still fails on the same operation. I've noticed that this operation is actually the --textrels phase when -a is ...

SELinux relabeling error (rlpkg -a -r) [PARTIALLY SOLVED]

Hi,

Seeking help about an error I have going through the SELinux installation guide.

I'm following the online guide to install SELinux, but run into a issue at section 3.e where I have the following error:
$ sudo rlpkg -r -a
Relabeling filesystem types: ext2 ext3 jfs xfs
/usr/sbin/setfiles ...

Found the fix. A bug seems to exist in dev-libs/newt-0.51.6-r1 which was causing the error. Upgrading to the unstable 0.52.2 fixed it.

zttool fails with realloc(): invalid next size [SOLVED]

Hi,
I've upgraded an old 2.6.12 kernel to 2.6.22-r5 yesterday on a PBX box running asterisk. Now when I try to configure the zaptel driver with zttool, the following messages appear on a blue background:
*** glibc detected *** zttool: realloc(): invalid next size: 0x0805b7b0 ***
======= Backtrace ...

I just upgraded a few packages and came across this issue. I've fixed it using the hackaround trolley described.

But I'm curious, is it a bug with gtk-engines?

I get the same error.

Code: Select all

$ uname -r

zaptel seems broken with newer kernels. The INIT_WORK() macro (from include/linux/workqueue.h) is used with an extra argument in the zaptel source.

Edit: Compiles fine with ~x86 keyword (1.2.16 as of now).

Indeed, today it has been two days straight that Audacious is running (though not streaming two days long, but about 7 hours each day), and it just hit about 750 MB of memory (as reported by gkrellm and top, sorted by memory 'M'):

Hey,

Just a note to say that even with 1.2.2, which is what I'm currently running, memory leaks are still present. Haven't noticed a big memory consumption with local MP3 playing, though I use the HTTP streaming a lot and after a few days I clearly see my computer swapping the 700-ish MB of RAM ...

Oh, I have some results now.

Here is what I did:
- emerge gtk-theme-switch to switch GTK themes, but that seems very optional
- Pasted swimmer's code into the mentioned files
- Changed all font name occurrences to be "Luxi Sans 8" in ~/.gtkrc.mine
- Switched the theme with switch2 /usr/share/themes ...

Also have this problem here. I migrated my system from FreeBSD (6.0-RELEASE) to Gentoo (but also uses Gentoo on another computer for a few months already). On FreeBSD, OpenOffice 2.0 looked perfect. On Gentoo, fonts are exaggeratedly over-sized. Can't seem to figure out how to fix it. Does anyone ...
