On my 3.0.x box with samba iniparser isn't installed. This package is pulled by samba 3.4.6. Therefore the message appears on my samba 3.4.6 boxes. At first it looked that my shares were not accassible anymore in combination with winbind. But I now have a testserver where this just works fine. Don't ...

I've got this problem because I am upgraded to samba 3.4.6. When I downgrade to samba 3.0.x the problem disapears. Are you sure you are on samba 3.0.x? Did you also manage to solve this issue?

It's probably not your cmos battery, cause then you have to get a message that the date/time is cleared and all settings are back to default. If it is a heating problem, then you don't need to clear the cmos before you can power up again.

Looks like this ebuild is working fine. I renamed the ebuild on bugs.gentoo.org to vmware-server-2.0.0.116503.ebuild and downloaded the files manually. It installed correctly.

Has anyone has made/found an ebuild for this version? I want to try vmware server 2, but the ebuild provided at overlays.gentoo.org doesn't seem to work very well on my system.

As far as I know there is not something like an external menu in xfce, but that can be too my lack of knowledge of xfce. I edit those .desktop just with an texteditor and they show up in my xfce menu.

When you only put =media-libs/alsa-lib-1.0.14a-r1 in /etc/portage/package.mask it will do the trick.
