lafiel i'm sorry, i will always listen to you from now on :) so yes enabling BT848 fixed my problem i can use my osprey 210 bt878 capture card.

i have more questions about video4linux :

i know that we can set the size of the capture (320x240, 640x480) but what is the "real" size of my capture card ...

i was trying zinf cause xmms don't want to play mp3 stream (whatever server (icecast or shoutcast)). i really like streamtuner, but want i hit play, xmms open, but no buffering appear... is rhythbox support ogg and mp3 incoming streaming?

it's really bad that emerge zinf don't work...

finally if you want alsa with mm-sources (rc3 at least) you have to compile alsa in the kernel (not emerging alsa-drivers).

thank you, opengl-update xorg-x11 did the trick. do you know by any chance if nvidia drivers are working with mm-sources kernel (2.6.12), that's why i had to do opengl-update from nvidia to.

i'm using mm-sources kernel and i'm trying to use nvidia-kernel and nvidia-glx but it's not working. the last line before the error is:

MMIO registers at 0xF400000

it helps a lot my friend! thank you very much, adding usb-audio in make.conf compiled the module snd-audio-usb! also, i've put virmidi in make.conf so i can load snd-virmidi.

well i found something, if you want snd-usb-audio module, you have to add this to your make.conf:
ALSA_CARDS="usb-audio"

and then emerge alsa-driver again.

the problem, is the documentation say:

If you use a 2.6 kernel, you may use the drivers provided in the kernel, but we still recommend that ...
