fluxbox dev release question

On the 'taskbar' at the bottom.. how do you get it to display the little arrows to go to diff desktops?? I read the docs and played with every I could find.. no luck. (it came standard with 0.1.14

Is fluxbox dev in portage? if so what is it? emerge -s flux doesn't show it....I really want to try it but I'm still using the old version because it's what I found.
