How can i select gnash instead of Adobe Flash in Chromium?
I emerged both , but i can't realize which is running on my browser.
How can i see that? and how can i edit that?(Maybe with an Eselect?)

There is an emerge warning when installing Adobe Flash, saying that Adobe Flash has security problems.

Code: Select all

Flash player is closed-source, with a long history of security
 * issues. Please consider only running flash applets you know to
 * be safe. The 'flashblock' extension may help for mozilla users:
 *   https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433
Gnash is open-source, so I thought I would try it.

It is easy enough to install. Firefox and Chrome pick it up if you unmerge Adobe Flash.

But then you'll notice that some sites don't work properly, for example http://www.bk.com,
which I use as a test page.

Digging deeper, the Gnash developer's blog http://wiki.gnashdev.org/Priorities
says that the browser plugin is a lower priority for him than embedded systems.

So I conclude that one really should not use Gnash as a replacement for Adobe Flash,
given that the developer is willing to live with bugs and shortcomings.
